Year 13 and Year 12 Scavenger Hunt: A Memorable Start to the School Year
To kick off the school year with energy, excitement, and teamwork, our Year 13 and Year 12 students came together for a unique activity in the heart of the city center—a scavenger hunt that pushed them out of their comfort zones and into a day of discovery and fun. It wasn’t just about solving clues or completing tasks; it was about working together, sharing laughter, and creating memories that will stay with them for a long time.
What made this day so special was the way students stepped into challenges that went beyond the classroom. They had to rely on each other’s creativity and courage, sometimes even asking strangers for help to complete their quests. For many, this was not only a fun activity, but also a chance to practice communication, collaboration, and confidence in new ways. Watching them navigate these challenges with enthusiasm and joy was a reminder of how much our students grow when they are encouraged to think differently and engage with the world around them.
The scavenger hunt also strengthened the bonds between Year 13 and Year 12. It gave them the opportunity to connect, support one another, and share a special experience at the very beginning of the school year. By the end of the day, the city streets had become more than just the setting of a game—they became a space where friendships grew stronger, teamwork was celebrated, and students discovered just how much they are capable of when they embrace new experiences together.
This scavenger hunt was the perfect way to start the year: with fun, challenge, and a sense of community. It reminded us all that learning does not always happen inside four walls—sometimes, the best lessons come from the laughter, teamwork, and courage we find when we step out into the world. Our Year 13s and Year 12s have set the tone for a school year full of adventure, growth, and success.
