This online course on Google Classroom encourages students to use digital technology safely and securely, respecting themselves and others. The course also introduces students to healthy, responsible and legal online practice.
In Year 7, 8, 9 (MYP1, MYP2, MYP3)
- Unit 1 – Safety: Passwords, Malware, Phishing, Online Safety & Privacy, etc..
- Unit 2 – Health: Physical issues, video games addiction, social media and mental health
- Unit 3 – Empathy: Cyberbullying, trolling, cyberstalking, online sexual abuse, etc.
In Year 10, 11 (MYP4, MYP5)
- Unit 4 – Responsibility: Netiquette, false information, inappropriate content, plagiarism, etc.
- Unit 5 – Legality: Copyrights and intellectual property, hacking, cybercrime, GDPR, etc.
