Nad’a – ʙᴇʏᴏɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ᴄʟᴀꜱꜱʀᴏᴏᴍ

I recently received an email from Nad’a, a student who graduated last year, and it completely made my day. She shared a music video she created, and her message was full of gratitude and excitement. She explained how she used skills she learned in her Media, Art, and English classes to bring the project to life. Writing the script, directing, and editing the video herself.

“I wanted to let you know that the time spent in your classes did not go to waste…your classes are of great use after high school.”

Reading this, I felt proud and inspired. This isn’t just about school assignments, it’s about giving students tools they can use to create, explore, and express themselves in the real world.

Moments like these are a powerful reminder of why teaching matters: the lessons we share don’t just stay in the classroom, they travel with our students, shape their creativity, and sometimes turn into something truly remarkable.
