Remembering the School Year – Year 6 Trip to Haus des Meeres

As the weather warmed up in 2025, Year 6 (together with the Enviro Club) travelled to Vienna to the Haus des Meeres. This was a great trip for them, especially because it touched on two disparate parts of the Year 6- our studies of Evolution and Adaptation, and our recurring theme of World War 2. You see, Haus des Meeres is located in a World War 2 era building. It was built for air defence, and for shelter for Viennese citizens. Year 6 were as interested in the WW2 exhibition as the sea creatures! A very special trip to remember.
