Summer Fair 2025: A Joyful Celebration

On a bright, beautiful day filled with laughter and music, our school came together once again for our 2nd annual Summer Fair—formerly known as the May Fair. Though the name has changed, the spirit of the event remains the same: a joyful celebration of student creativity, voice, and community.

From start to finish, the Fair was student-led. Learners across the school took ownership of every detail: designing and running their own stalls, setting prices, advertising their products, and proudly sharing their work with families, friends, and teachers. The positive energy was truly palpable—every corner of the playground buzzed with excitement.

This year, each year group brought something special to the table:

  • Year 3 and Year 6 offered refreshing homemade lemonade.
  • Year 6 also impressed us with their beautiful chocolates.
  • Year 2 created a popular sweet and savoury snack station.
  • Year 5 brought color and creativity with face painting and a coloring corner, featuring stunning AI-generated pages made from actual student photos!
  • Year 4 wowed the crowd with interactive science experiments and organized a lively Toy Swap that encouraged sustainability and sharing.

With music floating through the air and the sun shining brightly above, the Fair felt like a true celebration of all the things we value: collaboration, student agency, joyful learning, and connection.

When I was 8 years old one of my favorite things to do was to visit the market with my grandmother and eat a warm garlicky langoš. Little did I know at that time that it would be another 32 years until I would be at the same place, reminiscing about the beautiful memories of my grandmother while eating this delicacy. I call it the langoš 360. A 360 turn of living, studying and teaching around the world.
