Dear Students and Parents,
From June 16 to 27, Middle School and High School will not follow the regular schedule. Instead, EISB will offer a variety of special activities and trips.
You can see the overview as well as detailed information below. We kindly ask you to log into EduPage to complete the surveys and give permission for your child to participate in the planned trips. Your timely response helps us coordinate all events more efficiently. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Please also remember to cancel school lunches for any days your child will not be attending.

Monday, June 16:
Basketball Tournament – School starts and ends as usual, all activities will happen at EISB.

When:
Tuesday, June 17th (all day). We will leave by bus at 8:30 AM and return to EISB around 3PM (4PM at the latest). We will confirm our exact arrival time at EISB on the day of.
Why:
The purpose of this trip is to have fun and recognize the achievements of our students as they graduate from middle school and transition into our high school program.
Important Notes:
The cost of the trip is 15 EUR per student. The rest of the costs are being covered by the school. This includes transportation to/from EISB and entrance to the Family Park.
Lunch or snack: Students should bring or buy by themselves. Please cancel school lunch.
Please keep in mind the documentation needed for your child to travel internationally from Slovakia to Austria (i.e., Passport or EU ID Card + valid health insurance)
- Y7, Y8 Drazdiak Lake Trip –
We will be taking students from Y7 and Year 8 to Drazdiak Lake for a day of volleyball, swimming and a walk around the lake. We will leave from the school at approximately 9:00 and return by 1:30. Students should dress appropriately for the day outside and have sunscreen and their water bottles. They should also wear/bring a swimsuit and towel if they wish to get in the lake. Additionally, students should bring money to purchase lunch from one of the vendors at the lake. Please be sure to cancel your child’s lunch at school that day to avoid food waste. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Mr. Jim or Mr. Roman.

Water sports, swimming, sunbathing and chill at the Zlaté Piesky lake area.
On Tuesday, June 17, we’ll meet at school, then go to Zlaté Piesky and spend our day there, either just relax in the shade on shore (playing board games or cards, reading or sleeping) or give it our best at water activities (water polo, diving etc.; water bicykle or paddleboard rental possible). Or both? 🙂 Snacks, ice cream, sports, relax – all is on the table.
Wednesday, June 18:
Football Tournament – School starts and ends as usual, all activities will happen at EISB.
Thursday, June 19:
Educational Walk Through the Forest with a Guide + Barbecue at Koliba
Meeting Time: 8:15 EISB, then public transport to Koliba.
First 50 signed up students will join the educational walk with a guide from Bratislava Forest Department – the topic of the walk will be Snakes and Reptiles.
If there are more than 50 students registered, they will hang out at Koliba and barbecue with teachers.
Students should bring:
- their food for barbecuing
- water
- appropriate clothes, shoes, cap
- sun screen and bug spray
- health card
- games, frisbee etc.
Please remember to cancel your child’s lunch in the canteen.
Friday, June 20:
Field Day – School starts and ends as usual, all activities will happen at EISB.
Monday, June 23:
Castle Restoration Volunteering Trip “Biely Kameň” in Svätý Jur
Meeting Time: 8:15 EISB, then we take a bus to Sv. Jur and hike to the castle.
Volunteering involves moving rocks to be used to reconstruct the castle walls, moving sand, restoring the forest trails, landscaping, tidying of the area, helping the construction workers. The students will be assigned tasks according to their age and abilities. We will barbecue at the castle and then take the bus from Sv. Jur and arrive to EISB around at 14:30.
Students should bring:
- WORK GLOVES
- sturdy shoes
- clothes that can get dirty
- enough WATER for the whole day, there is no water source in the castle
- food for barbecuing
- appropriate clothes, shoes, cap
- sun screen and bug spray
- health card
All students studying in Slovak Republic are entitled for free railway transportation. If you do not have your Student Railway Card please arrange one before the trip otherwise you will have to pay for the ticket on your own. More information how to arrange free fare can be found here:

Tuesday, June 24:
- High School – Botanical Garden Trip –
This trip is for the high school students to go to the garden to paint scenery from the garden with watercolours.
After we will go to the city for ice-cream.
Please bring a blanket to sit on, sunscreen, a cap/hat, water bottle and a snack.
Each student should either have their insurance card or a photo of it. Please sign up as soon as possible to we can insure that your student has a place on the trip.
We will leave the school at 8:40 and return around 13:30.
Please cancel the lunch for that day for your student and either provide them with a lunch box or they can buy food in the city.
- Middle School – Old Town Scavenger Hunt – detailed info soon.
This outdoor activity will include exploring historical landmarks, solving riddles, completing creative tasks, and working in teams.
9:00–12:45 – Scavenger Hunt in groups around the Old Town
12:45–13:30 – Free time for lunch and rest in a shaded area, winners will be announced and head back to school.
~14:00– Arrival back at school
Students need to bring:
-Packed lunch or money to buy lunch
-Water bottle (enough for a few hours)
-Comfortable clothing and walking shoes, hat/cap
-Sunscreen
-Health insurance card
-Paper, pencil, and coloured pencils
Wednesday, June 25:
Aquapark Senec Trip
Meeting Time: 8:15 EISB, then we take bus to Senec.
Lunch in water park and then return to EISB by 14:30.
Students should bring:
- swimsuit
- sun screen
- towel
- money for lunch
- optionally slippers
- health card

Assemblies and Fun Activities – School starts and ends as usual, all activities will happen at EISB.
Friday, June 27:
Recognition Day
8:30-9:30 Primary Recognition Ceremony
9:30-10:30 Middle School Recognition Ceremony
10:30-11:30 High School Recognition Ceremony
The school will be open as usual, however, students are expected to arrive 20 minutes before the start of their respective ceremony. After the ceremony, students will receive their report cards and are then free to leave.
