Revolution Timelines: Student Highlights (Y9)

Project Description: Revolution Timelines

In their last I&S unit, Year 9 students were tasked with making a timeline for a revolution of their choice. Students were required to investigate a specific revolution by creating a visually appealing timeline that included 5–10 key events, each with a description of at least 50 words. In addition to the timeline, students answered two analytical questions: one on the causes of the revolution and another on differing perspectives toward it, with responses between 200–300 words each.

Using a New Presentation Tool: Prezi

Several students chose to use a new tool, Prezi, to create their timelines. It was encouraging to see them take initiative and demonstrate a willingness to experiment with new educational tools. Their use of Prezi added an engaging element to the project, and it was great to see students taking creative risks to enhance their work.
