Haus des Meeres is a popular aquarium and tropical zoo in Vienna, Austria, located inside a historic World War II flak tower. It houses over 10,000 animals, including sharks, sea turtles, colorful fish, reptiles, and even free-roaming monkeys and birds. With multiple floors showcasing marine life, tropical ecosystems, and even a rooftop with stunning city views, it offers a unique blend of nature and history for visitors to explore.
Year 10 and 11 students went on an exciting school trip to Haus der Meeres in Vienna, led by Ms. Svetlana and Ms. Jana. This unique aquarium, located in a former World War II flak tower, is home to thousands of marine and tropical animals.
Everyone enjoyed the experience, discovering not only marine life but also the history behind the building itself.
Students had a great time exploring the different floors, each filled with fascinating creatures like sharks, sea turtles, and colorful tropical fish. They also got to see monkeys and birds roaming freely in the tropical house.
The trip was a fantastic experience, and everyone left with great memories—looking forward to the next adventure!
