Upper Primary Finishes Judo Classes
The students from Years 4 -6 have spent their Tuesday afternoons for the last couple of months learning the Japanese art of Judo. This has been an enjoyable session of external physical education that has allowed the students to improve their physical fitness and learn some basic self-defense techniques in a fun, safe atmosphere.
“It was good, but sometimes tiring,” noted Y5 student Martin Dvorecky, referring to the physical nature of the sport. “I liked learning how to quickly take someone off their feet,” joked Y6 student Jim, with a grin.
Diplomas were distributed to the students at the last session of the class on February 27. Next up for external PE will be ice skating at Stadium Ondrej Nepela.
