On the Hunt
It takes a village to raise a child, or so the saying goes. One way that we create this village here at EISB is by fostering a sense of community within our school. This starts with our staff…and we start early in the year!
This year our first staff event took place way back at the beginning of the year in August before the students even stepped foot on campus. For the second straight year, we ended our staff induction week with an Old Town Bratislava scavenger hunt, an excellent team-building exercise where the staff is divided into teams that go out and complete tasks – running from the ridiculous to the rather tasty. Just as an example this year’s assignments included trying to convince a stranger to let the team take a photo with their dog followed up by a team trip to Luculus for delicious gelato!
In the end, we met up at a downtown restaurant for a lovely meal and plenty of laughter over the shared experiences of the day. This is a great way to set the tone for a fun, exciting year here at EISB for our students and the whole school community!
