Lino cut printing technique

The technique of lino cut printing using an etching press can be demanding, but the results are always worth it. With one piece of lino, you could potentially make around 50 copies of your art, without damaging the lino.

I’m proud to say that here at EISB/AA we have an etching press that’s ideal for A4 prints. It’s one of those techniques, that people often go “How did the artist make this?”.

This technique is now experiencing a bit of a renaissance, as it’s becoming very popular on social media. One obstacle that students have to face, is that when you make a print, the image becomes reversed, and this bit of knowledge is especially crucial, when it comes to including text in your artwork.
