Climbing Our Way to the Top

Our Upper Primary students at EISB recently finished an external PE unit that saw them racing to the top…literally. They spent six Tuesday afternoons in November and December at the K2 Climbing Center here in Bratislava.
The Year 4, 5 and 6 students learned the basics of how to put on and use the necessary equipment and were given some instruction and advice by the on-site staff. Soon, they were climbing up the walls and safely rappelling back down under the guidance of their trainers.
By the end of our sessions at K2, the majority of our students were making quick work of the easier and walls and moving onto those that are more technically challenging and therefore require more patience and thought.
