Mr Ollie – All About Me
Hi Everyone!
My name is Ollie Andrew and I am so excited to be joining the EISB team.
I come from a beautiful part of England, the South-West, which includes the amazing world heritage site, Stonehenge. However, I have been living in Manchester for the last 2 years, studying a masterโs in Psychology of Education and working in various educational settings. My thesis focused on children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties and how schools can focus on keeping these children engaged in school. My passion in education is understanding how individuals learn and the barriers that we must cross in order for everyone to reach their potential.
For the last 5 years, I have been teaching in a number of schools around the UK and have loved every minute of it. From working in a rural primary school to inner city schools in Manchester, I have taught a wide variety of students of all ages. I focus on being a reflective teacher in order to constantly improve professionally as I feel this will only benefit the children and aide with their learning.
Looking forward, I have high aspirations of doing a PhD in Psychology of Education. I have a real passion for how children learn and wish to gain a greater understanding in this extremely important field. I also have the enthusiasm and determination to ensure that I make a success of this role at EISB.
