A First EISB Graduation
You may have seen us have Primary graduations and Middle School graduations but this year we had our first High School Graduation. This week saw Zhang Jia Qi and Zhang Jia Yi graduate from EISB having fulfilled all the requirements for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and, on Thursday complete the final external exam of the year.
We are especially proud of the two girls who came from Shenzhen in China just a few years ago with very basic English. With real grit and determination, the girls set about learning English and studying hard in all subjects until they and their teachers were confident that they would stand a good chance of excellent grades in the challenging Diploma courses. They have done extremely well, but this challenge is not enough for them. They will both spend a year studying German in Vienna in order to attend Austrian higher education institutions of economics (Jia Yi) and Dentistry (Jia Qi).
Both girls will be very much missed at school but we wish them all the best for their futures and will see them again when they return to tell us their progress.
The graduation was organised by DP Coordinator Ms Bronislava Dvorecka with the help of teachers and learners at EISB. The venue was Hotel Set and wonderful catering and service by their staff.
