Ypsilon Competition – “Slovak Language Is a Game” at Primary (27 November 2025)

On 27 November 2025, pupils at primary took part in the nationwide Ypsilon competition – “Slovak Language Is a Game.” The competition gave pupils the opportunity to practise and strengthen their Slovak language skills through engaging and age-appropriate tasks. It focused on spelling, reading comprehension, language awareness, and logical thinking, while encouraging pupils to see Slovak as something enjoyable and meaningful.

Pupils at primary approached the competition with enthusiasm, concentration, and a positive attitude. As their Slovak language teacher, I was very proud to see how responsibly they worked and how confidently they applied what they have learned during lessons. Many pupils showed excellent attention to detail and a genuine interest in solving the tasks correctly.

The results achieved by our pupils were outstanding:

  • Category – 100% success rate

  • Category – over 90% success rate

I would like to congratulate all pupils who participated in the Ypsilon competition. Every result is valuable and reflects their effort, perseverance, and willingness to learn. I hope this experience has motivated them and strengthened their confidence in using the Slovak language.
