EISB and Lidl: joint voluntary environmental campaign “Let’s make the recreation area of Štrkovec cleaner”.
Today, 33 students from grades 9-13 and three teachers: Ms. Alkistis, Ms. Geovanna, took part in a voluntary environmental campaign organized by Lidl to clean the recreation area of Lake Štrkovec from garbage. Lidl, represented by Ms. Wioletta Bach, provided the students with everything they needed for the work: gloves, plastic bags, snacks (croissants, chocolate, fruit, water).
We decided that we would first do the work and then replenish our energy resources. The children divided into three teams, put on gloves, took bags and the work began. In 50 minutes, the entire area adjacent to the lake was cleared of garbage. The students collected about 50-60 kg of glass bottles, plastic flasks, paper, etc.
A delicious snack awaited us. In addition, each student and teacher received small gifts from Lidl.
Ms. Wioletta determined the winners who collected the most trash. They were: 1st place – 9th grade students Adam, Anna, Emmy, Elly; 2nd place – 9th grade students Tadeaš and Alex; 3rd place – 11th grade students Adela, Adrina. They received a special reward – large chocolate bars.
The time flew by quickly, positively and usefully. The students gained new experience, the area around the lake became clean. We thank Ms. Wioletta and Lidl for the excellent organization of the event.
