End-of-Year Trip to Lake Neusiedl ☀️⛵🌊
It has become a wonderful tradition for our Primary students to celebrate the end of the school year with a trip to Austria and the beautiful Lake Neusiedl. This year was no exception.
We travelled by bus to the charming town of Podersdorf am See. After a short walk, we were greeted by the famous red-and-white lighthouse, one of the area’s most recognizable landmarks. Near the lighthouse, we boarded a boat and found seats on the upper deck, ready to enjoy the stunning views.

As soon as the boat set sail, we were surrounded by the beauty of Lake Neusiedl. While enjoying our packed snacks, we admired the peaceful scenery around us. From time to time, a sailboat appeared on the horizon, seagulls flew overhead, and for a moment it felt as though we were all on holiday. Ms. Bhagat even remarked that she felt as if she were in Dubai – and indeed, with the hot sunshine and water stretching in every direction, it felt almost like being by the sea.
After approximately an hour-long cruise across the lake, we arrived in the town of Rust. With around 1,700 inhabitants, Rust is the smallest statutory city in Austria. Here, the highlight of the day awaited our students – a fantastic water park.
The children had an amazing time enjoying the water slides, pools, and various attractions. With towel turbans on their heads to dry their hair and refreshing slushies or watermelon ice pops in their hands, they made the most of the sunny day.
It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and so much genuine happiness. The teachers enjoyed the day as well, taking in the relaxed atmosphere and watching the students have fun together.
Most importantly, the trip was a safe and successful one, with no injuries and plenty of happy memories. Tired but satisfied, we returned home with unforgettable experiences.
