Tiny Seeds, Big Learning: Grade 2-B Inquiry Journey π±
π± Inquiry-Based Science in Grade 2-B: Watching Our Coriander Grow
In Grade 2-B, we explored the question:
π How do plants grow and change?
We learned that plants need water, sunlight, air, soil, and space. Then we planted coriander seeds and took care of them every day. All the boys planted in one pot and all the girls in another, and each group looked after their own plant.
πΌ A Magical Moment After Easter Break
After the Easter break, we came back to a wonderful surprise β our tiny seeds had grown into small baby coriander plants! We were very excited to see the changes.
π What We Observed
We noticed that:
- Some plants grew faster than others
- Plants grew better when they had all their needs
- Every day, our plants changed a little
π± Learning About Cause and Effect
We learned simple ideas like:
- If we give water, the plant grows
- If the plant gets sunlight, it becomes strong
- If we forget to water it, it looks weak
π Learning That Lasts
We learned:
- How coriander grows
- What plants need to survive
- How to take care of plants
- What happens when we care for them
Most importantly, we learned:
π If we take care of our plant, it grows well. π±
πΏ Our Journey
We didnβt just grow plants β we grew as learners too.
