A Glimpse Into DP1 Chemistry class

DP1 Chemistry is in full swing, and our classroom has been anything but borning memorisation of the content!

From burning sulfur and magnesium (safely, of course!) to exploring connections between acids, bases, and oxides, students have been learning chemistry the hands-on way.

We’ve also turned into mini lab experts, mastering filtration and paper chromatography on a university lab level, and carefully writing up lab reports like true scientists.

And yes—there’s been lots of math too! Moles, molarity, and limiting reactants have kept brains busy, especially while preparing precise standard solutions.

Of course, in practice, experiments dont show a perfect reflection of what theory says, but, hey, nobody is perfect and that is normal. That is part of the curriculum, so students can practice their skills on spotting errors, learning from them, and improving each time.

Many  new interesting and challenging topics and labs are awaiting DP1 ahead. Have fun!
