University Visit to EISB!
This morning, EISB welcomed representatives from Griffith College Dublin and Anglo-American University (AAU) in Prague. Both universities delivered presentations to our students, introducing their institutions, academic programs, international study opportunities, admission requirements, etc.
The sessions gave students useful insight into studying abroad and allowed time for questions about courses, campus life, and future pathways.
Griffith College Dublin
Overview
- Founded in 1974, Griffith College is Ireland’s largest independent third-level institution.
- Campuses are located in Dublin, Cork, and Limerick.
- It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs with a strong focus on practical learning.
Examples of Programs they Offer
Examples of undergraduate programs they have:
- Business and Accounting & Finance
- Law and Criminal Justice
- Psychology
- Fashion Design, Interior Architecture, Film and Media Production
Examples of postgraduate programs they have:
- Cybersecurity
- Digital Communications
- Counselling and Psychotherapy
Students also learned about flexible study options and the benefits of studying in Dublin, Cork, and Limerick.
Anglo-American University (AAU), Prague
Overview
- AAU is an international university based in Prague.
- It offers degrees accredited in both the United States and the Czech Republic.
- The university is known for small class sizes and a diverse student body.
Key programs highlighted
Examples of undergraduate programs they have:
- International Relations
- Business Administration (with pathways such as marketing, management, and finance)
- Psychology
- Visual Art Studies
Examples of graduate programs they have:
- International Relations and Diplomacy
- International Business and Policy
- Liberal Studies
The presentation also highlighted opportunities for internships, study abroad, and the advantages of studying in Prague.
I hope that today’s visit gave our students a valuable overview of these two international universities, and the range of programs they offer. Our goal is for students in Y11-13 to better understand their options for studying abroad and what different universities look for in future applicants.
