3 Years of Festival of Hope
Three years ago, the International Baccalaureate (IB) planted a seed with a powerful question:
In a world facing uncertainty, how do we turn challenges into action and inspire hope?
Since that moment, the Festival of Hope (FoH) has blossomed into a global, youth-centered movement that empowers young people to explore what it means to live with purpose, lead with compassion, and turn inspiration into meaningful community and action.

A Global Movement Rooted in Hope
In just three years, the Festival of Hope has reached over 12,000 young people each year from Baku to Lima, Jakarta to the Galápagos Islands, Lebanon to Bologna creating powerful spaces for reflection, dialogue, and action across over 90 countries.
Together, we’ve built a movement that shows real change begins when we choose hope.
Hope Is a Verb
At every Festival of Hope gathering, young people are co-creators leading conversations on:
- Identity & Diversity
- Fairness & Inclusion
- The Role of AI & Technology
- Personal & Planetary Wellbeing.
Through their leadership, we’ve learned that hope is active, resilient, and shared it’s a verb that calls us to act together.
Join the Movement
As we mark this milestone, we invite you to join us as we elevate youth voice and build a global community which asks:
What do you care about enough to act on and hope for?
And what is the world asking of you?
Bring the Festival of Hope into your communities, assemblies, and schools and keep building a world where hope becomes action.
