Year 2 Getting Creative with Clay for Christmas! ๐ŸŽ„

Today, our students had a fun and creative afternoon in the workroom at school, where they made Christmas ornaments out of clay. Everyone was excited to start crafting and used their hands to roll the clay into smooth balls before flattening them to make a perfect surface for cutting.

We then cut the clay into different shapes, including Christmas trees and classic round ornaments. Some students added their own special touches to make each piece unique. Once all the ornaments are finished, we will fire the clay in the kiln to make it hard, and then the students will paint and decorate them for Christmas.b

It was wonderful to see so much imagination and care go into every creation, and we canโ€™t wait to see the finished, colorful ornaments ready to hang for the festive season! A big thanks to Ms. Sufraci for coming in and teaching the students how to work with clayโ€”it made the dat even more special.
