Middle School – A Fresh Start in Science
Hello everyone!
For one more year I’m excited to share highlights from our Middle School Science classes and showcase the amazing work our students do.
This year, our Science classes are off to a fantastic start.
Year 7, students are beginning their study of living things by exploring plant and animal cells. They are learning to recognize the structures that form the basis of life, and it has been wonderful to see their excitement when observing cells under the microscope.
Our Year 8 students are delving into the diversity of life through the animal kingdoms and ecosystems. They are exploring how different species are classified, and how they interact with their environments. These lessons have started thoughtful discussions about the importance of biodiversity and conservation.

Meanwhile, Year 9 is focusing on the remarkable complexity of the human body. Students are investigating different organs and organ systems, developing a deeper understanding of how our bodies function and how interconnected these systems are.

As we begin another exciting year of Middle School Science, I am happy to explore new ideas and projects with our students. Together, we aim to stimulate their imagination, maximize their creativity, and take their curiosity and inquiry to new heights. I can’t wait to see the discoveries and innovations they will achieve this year!
