New AP Exams Announced!

We’re pleased to announce that two exciting new Advanced Placement (AP) exams will be introduced by the College Board starting next school year (limited launch): AP Business Principles & Personal Finance and AP Cybersecurity. These new exams offer students the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in essential, career-oriented fields, enhancing their academic portfolios and preparing them for future success.

AP Business Principles & Personal Finance Exam

This exam will assess students’ knowledge and abilities in:

  • Entrepreneurship and Business Management
  • Accounting Basics
  • Personal Financial Literacy (Budgeting, Saving, and Investing)
  • Fundamental Marketing Concepts

The exam is ideal for students interested in pursuing business, finance, or entrepreneurial paths.

AP Cybersecurity Exam

Cybersecurity continues to be a rapidly growing industry. This exam will cover two main areas:

  1. Networking Fundamentals โ€“ Basics of digital networks and communications
  2. Cybersecurity Fundamentals โ€“ Protecting digital information, ethical hacking, and defense strategies

This exam suits students interested in technology, IT, and cybersecurity careers.

When Can Students Take These Exams?

  • Pilot Testing: Begins Fall 2025 (limited availability)
  • Nationwide Availability: Spring 2026 onwards

My name is Jacob Ingram. I am originally from a small village in Hot Springs, Virginia in the United States of America. From a young age, I found a passion in reading, writing; especially the whys and hows of literary analysis and discussion, and health; through my work with the American Red Cross. Here, at EISB, I have the opportunity to pursue both of these passions through teaching Physical and Health Education, English Language and Literature, and Creative Writing.
