Year 8 collaboration artwork

To start the abstract art unit with year 8, we created a collaboration artwork. I brought a number of wooden cubes, planned the project out, and then the students painted the cubes, and together, we assembled the star. It’s glued with epoxy, that also gives it a nice shine.

Students had to keep track of who is painting which color, and how many cubes per color are needed.

The final result is approximately the size of A1, I think this was a successful project, and the class enjoyed working on it.
