Daniel Hevier

Today was an exceptional day. It was special because the students had the opportunity to meet a very important figure. This distinguished person is Daniel Hevier. Two students, Daniel from Year 5 and Lea from Year 4, described their feelings below.

Daniel Hevier is a Slovak poet, writer, and lyricist known for his contributions to children’s literature and Slovak culture. His work often reflects themes of imagination, playfulness, and human emotions, which resonate well with both children and adults.

Hannka – Year 6

We bought books from Daniel Hevier, and he even signed them for us!

At the end of the program, Daniel Hevier even rapped for us.
