Unforgettable three days
Those who rafted last year will say: It was great! Three days and two nights of adventure, romance, fun… Who can forget that?
From Nova Dedinka to the Pod Križom camp it takes about 20 minutes by car. By catamaran on the Small Danube it will take 5-6 hours. It is clear that working with oars is not at all easy; tiredness sets in very quickly; but in the company of friends such difficulties are overcome more easily. The cool water of the river quickly restored our strength and filled us with new energy.
For many kilometers we simply walked along the bottom of the river, swam and splashed. Where there were deep places, we trusted our swim vests and the river current carried us forward towards new impressions. Everyone swam: both students and teachers.
Somewhere in the middle of the journey, we stopped on a beautiful river bank and, under the shade of tall trees, we quenched our raging hunger and gave our hands a chance to rest.
Our first camp. Cozy houses for two and wigwams, the opportunity to use your own tents, a huge field for football and volleyball.
It would seem that after 6 hours on the river everyone should have been very tired. However, after having a snack in a cafe, we played football and volleyball and doused ourselves with water.
And then there was a fire and many interesting stories from life, which everyone shared with pleasure.
Our second camp was in Potonske Luky, where we pitched tents and ate delicious goulash, prepared by a very caring hostess. Someone played football, was swinging on a swing, walked around the village, caught hedgehogs.
It was possible to relax in this way.
In the evening, Mehrad and the guys prepared firewood. Vojta lit his first fire himself, and everyone gave him advice on how to do it successfully.
When most of us sat around the fire, we began our concert: everyone, students and teachers, sang some song in their native language: Ms. Geovanna, Ms. Svetlana, Mr. Godfred, Mr. Roman, Aayushi, Mykhailo, Richard, Laura and Sashka, Mehrad, Dea, Ema and Sam, Viktor, Matyas, Michal…
The night passed quickly. In the morning, the hostess prepared us a very tasty breakfast, where everyone could take anything they wanted. We packed our things, said goodbye to the river and took the bus back to school.
