Soldering
I believe that art has no limits, and I like to prove that by using light, in the light art unit, which has become a yearly tradition at EISB/AA.
Here we can see students helping eachother with soldering LED lights with a soldering iron.
The idea is, that each student creates their own lamp from scratch. Sketch, carboard model, foamboard body, and then the LED light set, all created by each student. Each lamp has to have a good access to the on/off switch, and has to have an easy way to change the batteries. In the feature image, you can see last years lamps. I also believe that being able to use the soldering iron can be an essential skill for life – when you understand how this works, electronics become way less scary.
