Chinese New Year- The Year of the Ox

2021 is a year of the Ox, starting from February 12th, 2021 (Chinese lunar New Year Day) and lasting until January 31st, 2022. It will be a Metal Ox year. The zodiac sign Ox occupies the second position in the Chinese Zodiac. The 12 zodiac animals are, in order: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig.

Do you know?

1. Ox has no upper front teeth?

2. Ox symbolize harvest and good luck in China

3. People born under the Ox zodiac sign have the personality traits: diligence, dependability, strength, patience, humility, and determination. These reflect traditional conservative characteristics.

Women Oxes are traditional, faithful wives, who attach great importance to their children’s education. They would achieve their career success easily with their strong personality.

For male oxen, they are strongly patriotic, have ideals and ambitions for life, and attach importance to family and work.

Children in the Environmental Club learned about Chinese traditions: food people eat on Chinese New Year, kind of presents they give to each other, 2 famous legends, a lion dance, their favorite color, and other stunning information.

They made fabulous Chinese Dragon so EISB has good luck for the whole Year 2021.
