Trip to the White & Weiss gallery YEAR 10,11,12,13

From elegant lily flowers to chunky geometric sculptures, the White & Weiss contemporary art gallery has an absolutely stunning selection of art pieces.  The sculptures there, are a result of an art challenge created by Katarína Kissoczy.  Artist were challenged to create original sculptures with materials provided by Kissoczy and each artist was only allowed 10 days to create the art.  The DP, MYP students visited the gallery and were astonished by what they saw.  Artist from all over the world took part in the art challenge.  The gallery includes indoor and outdoor pieces/sculptures.  The sculptures are located throughout the gallery and are designed to blend in with galleries nature surroundings.  During the school’s visit, the gallery’s owner explained all the details and facts behind each piece.  Our students left with a collection of art booklets and full of inspiration.
