Smart Greenhouse on Mars projects

In their latest project, Year 7 students have been investigated computer controlled greenhouses, in the context of a Mars colony project for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

Using Micro:bit as a controller, they assembled the Elecfreaks Smart Greenhouse kit and program the system with MakeCode, They made use several inputs and outputs, including of a light sensor and a moisture sensor to respectively monitor and automatically regulate light level and soil moisture, with LED lights and a water pump watering system.

All Digital Design students worked well on this project but particular congratulations to Marin Udiljak for producing a fully functioning solution, and submitting excellent project documentation within the project deadline.
