How Our Year 7s Learned to Think, Reason, and Solve
This year, my Year 7 Math class at the EISB has truly shone! Watching our younger academy learners grow has been inspiring, as they embraced a “learning by doing” approach that encouraged curiosity, reasoning, and real-world problem solving.
Through hands on activities and practical scenarios, students applied mathematical concepts beyond the classroom, discovering how math helps make sense of everyday challenges. They developed critical thinking skills, persistence, and confidence learning that mistakes are just stepping stones to understanding.

It’s been incredible to witness their progress and enthusiasm, proving that when students actively engage with math, learning becomes meaningful, exciting, and truly transformative.
