United World Colleges – Short Courses
What are the UWC Short Courses?
United World Colleges (UWC) Short Courses are intensive programmes ranging from one to five weeks, designed to engage students with global and local challenges through experiential learning rather than formal academic study.
These courses are for students aged 13+ (different courses are for different age groups).
How are the courses organized?
These courses are organised around themes such as peace, power and conflict resolution, leadership for global impact, environmental sustainability, identity and diversity, and social entrepreneurship. Students work collaboratively in diverse groups, taking part in workshops, projects and community activities that build practical skills and broaden perspectives.
Where do they take place?
Short Courses take place around the world, in-person or online, and are open to a range of ages depending on the programme. Each course provides an opportunity to connect with peers from many different backgrounds and to explore ideas that matter. Graduates of these programmes join the global UWC community of changemakers.
