The True Story Behind Valentine’s Day 💛

Valentine’s Day is not only about giving chocolates, flowers, or love letters. There is a real story behind this special day, and we wanted to learn more about it.

We talked about Saint Valentine, who lived in the 3rd century in Rome. At that time, the ruler was Claudius II. He wanted to build a strong army. He believed that single men were better soldiers, so he did not allow young men to get married.

Saint Valentine thought this was unfair. He believed that love and family are very important. So he secretly married young couples. He helped them because he cared about them and wanted them to be happy together. When the king discovered this, Valentine was put into prison. Later, he died because he stayed true to his beliefs. That is why he is remembered as a symbol of love, courage, and kindness.

In our Environmental Club, we did not celebrate only with words. We decided to make something sweet and healthy for our loved ones. We prepared fruity desserts, such as mango and berry tiramisu. We worked together, carefully prepared the ingredients, and enjoyed the lovely smell of fresh fruit.

It was a beautiful way to connect history with kindness. We learned that Valentine’s Day is not just about presents, but about caring, sharing, and making others happy. 💛
