Discovering the Cambodian Dragon Boat Festival
Recently, our environmental club embarked on an exciting cultural journey into Cambodia by exploring the Dragon Boat Festival. We began with an educational video that introduced us to the festival’s rich history, its significance in honoring water spirits, and its role in ensuring bountiful harvests.
As we delved into the traditions, the children were inspired to create their own artwork, drawing from beautiful Cambodian landscapes. They also took part in crafting 3D dragon boats, which allowed them to bring a piece of Cambodian culture to life in a hands-on way.
This fun and educational experience not only helped the kids appreciate a different culture but also encouraged creativity and teamwork. It was a fantastic blend of learning and fun!
