Beyond EISB – Morteza
Morteza graduated from EISB in the class of 2025. This is a message from him:
A Step after High School .
For ordinary , most take 1-2 years of rest after highschool then step into the next chapter which is university, however I decided to not do that and start right after .
It’s kind of awkward since you had your friend group in highschool and now here you are alone and have to start from scratch , let me tell you also the biggest pain is the professors do NOT remember you at all so every time it is like a new interaction . Let alone the much more serious assignments , tasks , exams . Speaking of exams you actually have to sign up for it otherwise you lose a chance .
Now I can sit here and talk all day and make it sentimental how challenging the uni is and how you think everyone’s a genius and you are behind , but it also has some remarkable things . You may or may not know , I chose medicine. On the upside there’s so many fascinating things here to learn on the opposite side , there are SO MANY things to learn .
As of my group, surprisingly for me we all get along since it was not the case in high school . However there are still some behaviors no matter how old you are they will always hunt you such as gossiping or small dramas between students , just less important .
At this point some subject helped me a lot from high school , obviously anatomy , biology , some math and chemistry since that’s basically what’s medicine about . Interestingly the German classes that I also had in school helps me today since there are so many German speakers here that I can at least communicate with few thing with them . On the other side I’d like to believe all the presentation that I did throughout my high school career also helped me with communication . But it’s always feels good to know more than others , you don’t always have to pick the subjects that you are going to learn in the future so the subjects that didn’t really relate that much to medicine also helped me .
unfortunately I can’t speak for much since im writing this in november 1st and nothing much actually happened, yet one important thing I’ve learnt in this short time is you are nothing without studying and literally others will crush you so please set up a schedule , follow it and don’t tell yourself you are going to do something and then don’t do it .
