A Gateway to Global Language Competition

Calling all young language learners! The Hi-Lingua Language Competition is an exciting opportunity for students to showcase their talents in learning foreign languages like English, Spanish, French, and German. This online event is perfect for students looking to improve their language skills while competing with peers from around the world.

Hi-Lingua offers a fun and structured way to engage in language learning, with two rounds of competition: a Qualification Round and a Final Round. Students will answer 100 multiple-choice questions in the Qualification Round, covering levels from beginner to advanced, with the top performers moving on to the final stageโ€”a live interview with examiners. Notably, students can compete in multiple languages, though they must pay a separate fee for each one.

The competition is designed for non-native speakers, encouraging students to dive deeper into languages they’re learning, not their mother tongue. And the best part? It’s all done online, so students from different countries can participate from the comfort of home! Students who are selected for the finals will be invited to Paris in May of 2025 to compete with the top students within their categories from around the world.

Participation costs โ‚ฌ25 per language, and every student receives a certificate. For those who qualify for the final round, the interviews are completely free. With the rise of globalization, mastering multiple languages is more important than ever, and Hi-Lingua is a great way to practice, compete, and earn recognition for your skills.

Let’s come together as a school and demonstrate our language prowess!

From a young age, I found a passion in reading, writing; especially the whys and hows of literary analysis and discussion, and health; through my work with the American Red Cross. Here, at EISB, I have the opportunity to pursue both of these passions through teaching Physical and Health Education, English Language and Literature, and Creative Writing. I've always considered myself a lifelong learner and enjoy learning new things and skills as much as I enjoy teaching!
