Teaching skills & developing a sense of community

MYP4 student Viktor did a fantastic job teaching an interesting topic to Mr. Clipp’s class. He tackled the challenge alone and came up with a well-prepared plan for his service learning.

Preparing to present a topic such as Civic Values & Responsabilities, Viktor set a structured lesson plan.

THE PLAN:

The student stepped in, thinking about how to make the lesson interesting for the Year 5 kids.

By joining group activities and volunteering, our Y5 students got more involved in their learning

Also, making materials that fit the lesson’s goal is important when teaching kids

With an interesting Kahoot, Mr. Jimm’s class had to test their knowledge while having fun

This experience was a great chance to encourage community service and improve communication skills.

And of course, the respective reflection :)

Special thanks to Mr. Clipp and his class.
