Adapt to Survive
Recently, our Y8 Science class explored the fascinating topic of adaptation in Biology.
Students learned how animals and plants have different structural, behavioural, and functional adaptations that help them survive in their environments.
To see how adaptation works in real life, students carried out a temperature and heat experiment. By investigating how different conditions affected the heat loss, they were able to connect their results to real examples of adaptation in animals.
The experiment helped them understand that adaptations are not just ideas in a textbook, but important features that help living organisms survive and thrive in their environments.
