Induction Week: Getting Ready for the 2026/2027 Academic Year
Last 24th August marked the beginning of the 2026/2027 academic year with an exciting and engaging induction week for both new and returning teachers.
Throughout the week, we had the opportunity to learn about important school procedures, expectations, policies, and plans for the year ahead. The sessions were informative and gave us plenty of useful knowledge and ideas to help us prepare for the new academic year. It was also a great opportunity for new teachers to get to know the school community and for returning staff to reconnect and prepare for another successful year.

Beyond the training sessions, we also enjoyed some fun team-building activities. One of the highlights of the week was a scavenger hunt around Bratislava city centre. Working together in teams, we explored different parts of the city while completing a variety of challenges. It was a fun way to discover more of Bratislava, strengthen teamwork, and get to know our colleagues better.

To bring the week to a memorable close, we had a staff get-together at Bratislava Castle. With its beautiful surroundings and views over the city, it was a wonderful setting to relax, socialise, and celebrate the start of a new academic year together.

Overall, induction week was a great balance of learning, collaboration, and team building. We learned a lot, made new connections, and are now looking forward to welcoming our students and beginning what promises to be an exciting 2026/2027 academic year!
