Little about Ilias…
Hello everyone! My name is Ilias Makryniotis and I am coming from Greece. I have been teaching there for over 8 years and this is my first year I am living abroad. I am very happy to be a member of the EISB family. My studies are focused on Mathematics as my bachelor degree is on Mathematics , my first Master degree is on Business Mathematics and the second one is on Mathematics Education.
The core of my teaching philosophy is that students should make mistakes. It’s the only way for them and for me to understand their misunderstandings. So my main goal is to create a safe environment where all students can express their views freely. Each student has his own goals and I help them to meet them.
My favorite season is spring because I love nature excursions and walking. This is the best period to take a walk in the forest or by the river . Also I am an occasional organic olive farmer and every December I go to my village to harvest the olives and produce my own extra virgin olive oil.
