Tesáre Camp School Trip

The beginning of a new school year is always a good opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and create new memories. Our Middle School camp at Tesáre gave students the perfect chance to do just that. This year, with the whole camp dedicated to Middle School, students had the opportunity to take a break from assignments and routines and simply enjoy being together outside the classroom.

The trip started with a great introduction to the camp programme by Mr Thomas, who coordinated the whole experience and made sure everything was well organised. From room distribution and meals to the daily schedule and activities, there was plenty for everyone to get involved in. The programme included game stations, hiking, a lake hike and swim, arts, sports, a BBQ and a campfire. There were plenty of opportunities for students to work together, challenge themselves, relax and, of course, have fun.

Overall, it was a great camp experience. But camps are not only about activities and having fun. They also give teachers a different opportunity to see students outside the classroom, to talk with them, guide them and get to know them in a different way. As teachers, we often think about our role as educators and the responsibility we have in guiding young people as they learn not only about subjects, but also about themselves, other people and how the world works. Sometimes, stepping away from the classroom gives us a chance to remember just how important that part of our job really is.
