Paris Trip: Eiffel Tower

The first thing that probably comes to mind when you think of Paris is the Eiffel Tower. Designed by the company of engineer Gustave Eiffel, it was initially criticized by many artists and intellectuals for its bold, industrial look. Despite the controversy, it became a symbol of modern engineering. Standing 324 meters tall, it was the world’s tallest man-made structure until 1930.
