CAS During Summer – Veronika DP2

Spread the love

My veterinary clinic CAS experience

During the summer I spent one week volunteering ata veterinary clinic, working around nine hours each day alongside a team of veterinarians. I chose this experience because I love animals, enjoy trying new things related to medicine because I am interested in studying veterinary medicine at university.

As a student volunteer, I helped with tasks I was allowed to perform, such as cleaning and preparing areas, holding animals and equipment, organizing and marking medications, bringing supplies, and communicating with clients. I also had the opportunity to observe the doctors and learn more about how veterinary clinics works.

This experience taught me how important teamwork, precision and responsibility are, especially when working under pressure. I also realized how much a positive and supportive working environment can affect both the team and the quality of their work. Overall, the week gave me valuable practical experience and strengthened my interest in veterinary medicine especially surgery.
