🌱 Planting Seeds of Learning: Exploring Nature’s Cycles
Last month, our preschool class took part in a meaningful hands-on activity as we planted flower seeds together. This experience was part of our ongoing exploration of cycles in nature, helping children understand how living things grow and change over time.

As we carefully filled pots with soil, placed seeds inside, and watered them, the children learned about what plants need to grow — sunlight, water, air, and time. We talked about how a tiny seed can slowly transform into a plant, introducing the idea of life cycles in a simple and engaging way. The children showed great curiosity and care, taking pride in their role as young gardeners.

This activity also allowed us to connect our learning to responsibility and patience. The children are now excited to observe changes over the coming days and weeks, watching their seeds begin their journey of growth.

Planting seeds is not only about understanding nature — it also leads us beautifully into our next topic, “Friends of the Earth.” Through this experience, children begin to see how they can care for the environment and appreciate the living world around them. By nurturing their plants, they are taking their first steps in learning how to be kind and responsible stewards of our planet.
We look forward to continuing this journey as we explore ways to care for the Earth together — starting with the small but powerful act of helping something grow. 🌼
