MYP3 Spanish [๐๐ช๐จ๐ฉ๐ต๐ด, ๐๐ข๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ขโฆ ยก๐๐ฐ๐ฃ๐ญ๐ข๐ซ๐ฆ!]
MYP 3 students stepped into the world of film production through a creative dubbed video project entirely in Spanish.
The task challenged students to combine language learning with digital creativity. Working with recording tools, video editing software, and sound effects, students transformed short video clips into original Spanish-language productions. From dramatic scenes to humorous moments, each group added its own personality and imagination to the final result.
Beyond practicing Spanish, students developed valuable digital skills such as:
- Recording clear audio
- Editing video and synchronizing sound
- Adjusting timing and expression
- Collaborating creatively as a production team
One of the most important aspects of the project was communication with intention. Students had to think carefully about vocabulary, tone, emotion, and context in order to make their dubbed scenes believable and engaging. Matching spoken Spanish to charactersโ emotions and actions pushed students to go beyond memorization and focus on authentic communication.
The classroom quickly turned into a small recording studio, filled with repeated takes, laughter, creative problem-solving, and impressive attention to detail. Students experimented with accents, dramatic voices, sound timing, and expressive language to bring their scenes to life.
This project was an excellent example of how language learning can connect creativity, technology, and communication skills in a meaningful and memorable way.
