Cooking Club: Blueberry Muffins 🫐🧁

Spread the love

If you love muffins, come and make them with us! If our Year 2 students—together with two brave Year 5 helpers—could do it, then you definitely can too 🙂

We decided to bake blueberry muffins. Baking is quite a precise activity, so the students had to be careful when measuring all the ingredients. Even cracking an egg turned out to be a small challenge—those tiny bits of shell always try to sneak into the batter!

Greasing the muffin tray with butter felt a bit unusual for the children. Spreading butter into each cup with their small fingers was definitely a new and strange experience.

At first, the batter didn’t look very appealing. The ingredients didn’t seem to want to come together, mainly because the butter hadn’t fully melted and formed small lumps.

So, we brought out the mixer—and that’s when the real action started! Lea and Zlata bravely gave it a try, even as the mixer sped up.

Then came the best part: filling the muffin tray. Each student carefully poured the batter into their own section. Every muffin had its little baker, who proudly kept an eye on it through the oven door while it was baking.

The children could hardly wait for them to be ready. Riki was counting every single second!

The muffins turned out beautifully—golden, fluffy, and full of blueberries. All the effort, patience, and teamwork paid off, and the children were proud of what they had created together.
