Exploring Magnet Play in the Early Years

Intrigued by the children’s fascination with whiteboard magnets and their enjoyment of spring mazes, I decided to merge these activities into something new to our classroom: magnet mazes. Setting out mazes of varying complexities, I watched as the children eagerly navigated the magnetic pathways, solving challenges and discovering new routes.

Once the magnetic mazes had captivated their interest, I introduced a magnet pendulum for further exploration. Alongside this interactive centerpiece, smaller magnets and an assortment of paper clips in different sizes awaited their curious hands.
