Presentation of Johnson & Wales University

On Monday (4/11/18) Mr. Eriksen came as a representative from Johnson & Wales University (JWU) and presented to the secondary school about the school and its mission.   Johnson & Wales University (JWU) is an American University and was founded as a business school in 1914 in Providence, Rhode Island, by Gertrude I. Johnson and Mary T. Wales.  JWU has campuses in 4 locations; Denver, Colorado; Providence, Rhode island; North Miami, Florida; and Charlotte North Carolina.

This university’s focus is on food and food preparation and therefore has an amazing kitchen. As a result of this, JWU is a recognized leader in higher education. Their Providence campus is ranked among the “Best Colleges”  by U.S. News and World Report.  The best advice given to us from Mr Eriksen was,

“Choosing university is like choosing a pair of shoes – you have to find one that fits well and suits who you are.“

As with other university representatives who visit us, Mr Eriksen was greatly taken by our program and learners.
