As part of their IB MYP1 Individuals and Societies course, students investigated different topics that influence people and communities around the world. After selecting a specific area of interest, they carried out research and organized their findings into a three-paragraph essay. To conclude the project, students created Canva presentations and presented their work to the class.
The project gave students the opportunity to explore a variety of issues and viewpoints while developing their research and presentation skills. Through their investigations, they considered how different factors can shape the experiences, decisions, and lives of individuals and societies. Sharing their findings with classmates also encouraged meaningful discussion and the exchange of ideas.
The overall quality of the work was very impressive. Students demonstrated strong analytical skills and showed a genuine understanding of their chosen topics. Their presentations were informative, well-prepared, and engaging. It has been encouraging to witness the progress this group has made, and I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of their thinking and the confidence they displayed when presenting their ideas.
